Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival

This was the 4th year we have had the pleasure of working with Nenagh Arts Centre on the Spleodar festival.

Each year there is a fun and exciting theme created for the festival. And we use this as the inspiration and foundation for all of our designs and illustrations. The theme for 2023 was to showcase how technology and traditions can co-exist in our world.

With the rise of AI being used as a major tool in the tech world, we thought it would be a nice idea to incorporate this into our design, and help aid the concept of ‘Technology – Tradition’.  So by using key words and prompts, we were able to create the foundation of our main witch character.

AI in true fashion created horrible hands along with a pair of dead eyed stares. So we illustrated and fixed new elements for these areas.
(So thankfully the robots won’t be taking over the art world any time soon, especially with those disasters it created!) 😉

The rest of the illustrations we designed and created, were pieces and characters visualising all of the different events taking place during the festival. Thing such as fireworks, ghost stories, lanterns etc
