BullFest
BullFest was a mini rock festival held in the UK.
The festival was an organised charity event held in Yorkshire, with bands playing over the course of the weekend.
With a small budget to work with, and no room for paid promotion. I needed to come up with a successful and cost effective solution to advertise this event. Taking advantage of human behaviour, I decided to let the viewer do the advertising for me, by generating natural puzzlement and curiosity.
So I created a series of posters that were deceptively simple and lacking descriptive detail. This generated conversation and interaction between viewers as to what exactly was going on with the event.
By using simple features, flat colours, minimal details and negative space. I designed the imagery to carry a double meaning, meanings which are not immediately apparent. This concept strongly reinforced conversation between viewers, leading to more awareness and promotion of the event.
