Creative Places - Tipperary Town

Creative Places is a hub that supports artists to collaborate within their local communities. Developing arts and cultural activities wherein the local residents and workers can explore identity, create vibrancy to the place and bring high quality arts opportunities to the people of the region.

To promote and welcome people into participating, we decided to go personal with the promotions. So instead of advertising with the usual flyers and leaflets, we created and designed postcards to be shared and sent out across the region inviting people to become a part of the opportunities.

For the illustration we visually celebrated all the different arts, and events bursting from within the invitation. Combining surrealism with some reality we created a collage of art, music, dance, film etc. Which included a lot of regional hidden treasures significant to Tipperary Town. These easter eggs included the statue ‘Maid of Erin’ taking a selfie, the ‘It’s a long way..’ compass hidden in the spool eye of thread, to name just a few.
