Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival

Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival is a fun, family aimed festival full of in-person and online events. Including workshops, films, ghost stories, a radio play, a spectacle event and more.

For this years festival we designed and created a Celtic Princess as the main promotional character for the event.

The event was full of joyful activities throughout the day and evening, so we thought it best to have a bit of fun with the leaflet cover to express this concept. To achieve this we illustrated her as a Celtic Princess during daylight on one side, and have her transform into a Celtic goddess by nightfall on the adjacent side.

By merging the two different character states on the cover, it helped to delightfully express how Spleodar is an explosion of Irish-ness and Irish Art. And with a beautiful projection taking place on Nenagh Castle as the finale of the event. It was great to have the princess emulate this by having her erupting with beams of light, into her Celtic Goddess-ness at nightfall.
